SIM Card top Up / Activation | Calling Procedure


How to Top Up / Activate the BYRU SIM Card

The Ericsson R190 phone must be logged on to the ACeS network before you can start on the steps below.
Step 1 Call the customer service Number( dial 868/888 and then press OK) from your R190 handset. If you are activating the BYRU SIM Card for the first time, an operator will answer the call and will ask for some personal details, after this you will be put on to the IVR (interactive voice recoder) to activate the phone. For subsequent top up, the system will put you straight to the IVR system. Press 2 For English
Step 2 Press 3 for prepaid SIM Card Details. Press 2 to top up. Key in Phone No. plus # sign. Key in Scratch Card Number plus # sign.


Calling Procedure for ACeS R190 Satellite Phone

Default PIN Code for all BYRU SIM Card is 0868. You will need to key in this four number when you switch on the phone. The word 'Ericsson' will appear on the screen for about 3 seconds. After this the phone will start searching for satellite signal. Once it is log on you will see that the circle in the top middle of the screen darken and the word 'ACeS' will appear below the darken circle, this mean that it has log on to the ACeS network successfully.

If for any reasons the phone starts to search for GSM, please follow the procedure below to switch back to satellite mode.

Step 1: press the right pointing arrow key, the menu will appear.

Step 2: key pressing the right pointing arrow key until you reach 'Network' or the second last icon on the right of the screen.

Step 3: once you reach the network icon press OK. You are now in the Network menu.

Step 4: press the right arrow key until you see 'satellite mode' in the middle of the screen and press the OK key.

Step 5: Press the right arrow key again until you see on the screen 'satellite only' appear on the bottom of the screen and press the OK key. The word 'Stored' will appear for about 3 seconds. Press the 'No' key until you get out of the menu.

Step 6: The phone will start to search for the satellite mode now.
