| All vessels can be registered with Tuvalu Ship Registry. Vessel above 15 years old is required to submit a special survey report on the condition of the vessel for evaluation before registering. |
| |

- Power of Attorney (if seller is not the owner of the vessel)

Upon payment of fees, registrar issues the provisional certificate of registry, carving and marking (C & M) note, temporary safe manning certificate and temporary radio station licence (as required).
The provisional registration is valid for 6 months and may be extended upon application.
Note: The Registrar reserves the right to accept or reject an application as and when he deems fit that the ship could fly the Tuvaluan flag. Some of the considerations, that the registrar depends on in accepting or rejecting a ship are:
The background of the ship and its owner to ensure that they are not blacklisted (such as record of drug smuggling, piracy, contraband, terrorist and other illegal activities, prohibited by law)
Port State Control records of the vessel and its history.

Original builder's certificate or bill of sale (which will be returned to the owner) or a notarised copy;
Original deletion certificate from the previous registry (if applicable);
A copy of the full term tonnage certificate and the certified C & M note;
