The provisional registration is valid for 6 months and may be extended for an additional 6 months upon application. The Registrar will transfer the ship to the permanent register upon receipt of the following documents:
Original application forms (R3);
Original certified copy of the charter party;
Original copy of the letter of consent from the Registrar of the original registry of the ship;
Certified C & M note.
The permanent certificate of registry (bareboat charter) will be issued together with the safe manning certificate and radio station licence (as required). No additional fees are charged for the transfer, except for any adjustment in the fees due to differences in the final tonnage figures. Mortgages may be recorded in register upon notification by the Registrar of the original registry of the ship. |
